Dark Girls film preview

This trailer goes in the same vein of my most recent discussion posting. It's sad how much I can relate to this. the light skin vs dark skin mentality isn't something only seen in the black community, but this film specifically focuses on the black community. In this trailer a woman recalls a story of when she was younger and she asked for bleach to be put in the bath with her so she can lighten her skin. Sadly, I've heard the same thing requested from my little sister.

This movie deals with several girl issues family, friendships, body image and popularity. The movie begins with Cady played by Lindsay Lohan who had been home schooled in Africa.
